Like I mentioned in my last post, which was about seasonal beers, these things just keep coming out earlier and earlier every year. I swear that Tröegs Mad Elf used to be released the first weekend in November. This year they started shipping on October 1. Mad Elf was already in a store by me before Halloween. I picked up my first holiday beer, High and Mighty Home For The Holidays, and said to the cashier that it was the first holiday beer I saw this season. He then informed me that Mad Elf just arrived also. I didn't bother buying any, because that particular store is better for buying single bottles and six packs, and I always need at least a case of that Mad Elf to get me through Christmas. So if your used to picking up your Mad Elf closer to December, you might want to get out soon and pick up your case.
But back to the Home For The Holidays beer. Even if you don't like beer, you should probably pick up a bottle of this for someone who does or if you have relatives who have fought in Iraq or Afghanistan. Profits from the beer will be donated to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
